Ashleigh, a beautiful and talented model, needed some beach photos for her portfolio. So, we packed up the car and headed for Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. We arrived only to find the beach blanketed by fog. We couldn't even see the water from the shore! A little disappointed, we decided to walk down the boardwalk to get some lunch, figuring the fog would lift later in the day. We were wrong, the fog stayed all day, so we decided to make the most of it.
We headed down to the beach with the camera gear and a second, talented and beautiful model, for the shoot, my daughter, Ashley. The fog added an interesting touch to the photos and we ended up with some great photos.
The next morning we woke early to find a beautiful clear sky with a pink and blue sunrise.
We grabbed the camera and went down to the water to get some shots of Ashleigh with the sunrise.
We also had a bit of fun photographing Ashleigh on the lifeguard stand.
Katie Smith, one of my favorite models, is applying for AMTN next week! Does she have what it takes to be America's Next Top Model? I believe she does!
I met Katie about a year and a half ago when she modeled for me and a couple of my photographer friends in a test photoshoot. We've done several photoshoots since then and, each time I work with her, I see so much potential.
Katie is fun, spunky, sweet and very beautiful. But that's just a small part of what it takes to be a great model. Hard work, dedication, being open-minded and willing to do what is outside your comfort zone can make or break an upcoming model.
Katie has the whole package and she's also very comfortable in front of the camera. I believe she has what it takes and I wish her the best of luck at the casting call.
Had a fun photoshoot today with Ashleigh, an up and coming model working on her portfolio. I've been working with her for the last few months and have seen her modeling technique improve. She is much more relaxed with me now as her photographer and it's showing in her photos.
